    Crestron is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to join the Corporate Real Estate & Workplace Services (CREWS) team. This senior-level position is responsible for performing and supporting advanced facility maintenance, repairs, inspections, preventative maintenance, and operational activities across multiple New Jersey and New York locations.

    The Senior Maintenance Technician serves as a technical leader within the maintenance team, requiring extensive knowledge of building systems, construction practices, and multi-trade maintenance disciplines. This role independently diagnoses and resolves complex facility issues, provides guidance and mentorship to Maintenance Technicians, and supports management through recommendations, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position plays a critical role in maintaining safe, reliable, and fully operational facilities while ensuring exceptional service delivery and compliance with all company safety standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform advanced maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC/BMS, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and building systems across multiple facilities.
    • Diagnose complex equipment and facility issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions with minimal supervision.
    • Execute and support preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and extend asset life.
    • Perform skilled multi-trade work including carpentry, plumbing, drywall, painting, lock systems, furniture installation, and general construction repairs.
    • Conduct routine inspections, maintain and repair of facilities, infrastructure, powered industrial equipment, and critical building systems and assets, including loading dock equipment, compressors, overhead doors, water heaters, roof systems, production-related equipment, identify and resolve potential issues.
    • Support low-voltage cabling, network infrastructure, and audiovisual system installations, modifications, and maintenance as required.
    • Create, manage, and complete work orders; maintain maintenance records, inspection logs, reports, and other required documentation.
    • Coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, access procedures, and approved scopes of work.
    • Lead safety initiatives by enforcing company policies, applying Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, identifying hazards, and supporting emergency response activities.
    • Safely operate and inspect forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, turret trucks, and other specialized maintenance and material-handling equipment.
    • Mentor and train Maintenance Technicians by sharing technical expertise, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and promoting continuous skills development.
    • Provide operational support across multiple locations by responding to service requests, supporting facility security procedures, recommending improvements, and assisting with after hours or emergency response needs.

    Qualifications:

    • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
    • One Year Certificate from College or Tech School required
    • 4-6 years experience in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, Electrical or equivalent
    • Extensive knowledge of commercial facility maintenance operations and construction practices
    • OSHA 30 required or willing to obtain within the first 90 days of employment
    • Detail oriented, with detailed communication skills verbal, and in writing
    • Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing systems, furniture, and general building maintenance
    • Computer literacy a must Microsoft Office Suite, Teams
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Advanced technical aptitude with strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong understanding of building infrastructure, facility systems (including HVAC/BMS), and equipment operations
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining positive working relationships with employees, contractors, and vendors
    • Valid driver license in NJ or NY. Must be able to travel to between buildings on Campus and Orangeburg, NY and Cresskill, NJ locations using your personal vehicle
    • Knowledge of mechanical equipment maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance programs
    • Familiarity with low-voltage cabling, network infrastructure, and related facility technologies
    • Ability to safely perform physical work, including lifting up to 40 pounds, operating powered industrial equipment, and working from ladders and elevated platforms
