We are currently seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician (Equipment & Facilities) for our Whippany, NJ slitting facility.

Position Summary

The Senior Maintenance Technician - Equipment & Facilities is responsible for maintaining production equipment, facility systems, and infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This is a hands-on role requiring a motivated self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.

As the sole on-site maintenance professional, the successful candidate will be responsible for all day-to-day maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, facility upkeep, spare parts management, regulatory compliance, and support of equipment and facility improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary maintenance resource for all production equipment, machinery, and facility systems
Schedule and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Respond promptly to equipment failures and minimize production downtime
Manage equipment and facility repairs utilizing outside contractors when necessary
Maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies
Maintain accurate maintenance and ISO 9001-related records
Assist with planning, tracking, and execution of projects related to equipment installations, facility upgrades, and capital improvements
Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and service providers

Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or related field required
Minimum 10 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with PLC troubleshooting, pharma-regulated/GMP environments, HVAC, and building maintenance
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices
