Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) Administration
Job Description
The Senior Manager - Business Development will support the Director of Business Development in all business development initiatives for the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR). This role is primarily responsible for business intelligence, tracking and updating customer lists, and leading contract negotiation on new or updated deals. The role will focus on expanding the radioisotope business and explore and evaluate emerging business opportunities around the research reactor. The Senior Manager will also support the Director in engaging customers and creating/cultivating new business opportunities. The incumbent will work closely with Isotope Sales, Logistics, and Customer Service functions, ensuring alignment with MURR's mission and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
o Organize, manage, and maintain business analytics data across MURR business lines to support institutional decision-making
o Identify and establish tools to support industry and customer tracking. Become the subject matter expert on these tools for dissemination to and training of other stakeholders.
o Provide insights to leadership regarding market dynamics and competitive positioning
o Lead negotiations with customers and collaborators on pricing, contract terms, and other contractual commitments
o Work closely with MURR and University stakeholders to ensure deals come together quickly and effectively at all levels
o Analyze, track, and negotiate modifications to contract terms and financial arrangements
o Maintain and update contract templates, as required, to support business growth
o Leverage existing relationships and build/maintain strong relationships with customers, industry leaders, and stakeholders.
o Support client relationship management activities, establishing and maintaining an extensive network of industry contacts.
o Stay informed on emerging trends, track new and existing markets, and recommend growth opportunities
o Connect client needs with the capabilities of the university and MURR/MURR Nextgen enterprise.
o Lead and mentor a team of Business Development, Sales, and/or Customer Service associates to expand the BD reach of the team at MURR.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 7 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, or other advanced degree in business, accounting, or finance
8+ years of experience with Business Development and Analytics or Customer Service in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting
Proven track record in negotiating B2B deals
Established network of contacts within the radiopharmaceutical industry
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
Grade: GGS M14
