The Department of Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager of GME Programs to work full-time on-site in Miami, FL.
CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Manager, GME programs leads and directs the GME medical residency and fellowship programs. The Sr. Manager, GME programs supervises the GME Program Coordinators and Managers of GME Programs and supports the program director(s) and residents/fellows by ensuring all administrative tasks are performed to standard to maintain compliance with Accreditation Council for Medical Education (ACGME) requirements. The incumbent provides assistance and guidance to the GME staff and establishes relationships with stakeholders to ensure a high level of service delivery.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Directs and oversees the GME staff in the execution of their daily tasks.
Trains and supervises GME staff to manage daily administrative operations for one or more medical residency or fellowship programs.
Assists the Program Director(s) (PD) and/or Associate Program Director(s) in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training programs and ensuring compliance with ACGME accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
Coordinates recruitment efforts and ensures compliance with requirements of the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Match process, to include scheduling of interviews, updating marketing material, and tracking candidates.
Acts as a liaison for faculty, lecturers, and internal and external stakeholders.
Assists in the preparation of letters of agreement with affiliated programs.
Maintains knowledge of current medical licensure requirements, immigration policies, ACGME accreditation, and institutional requirements.
Ensures learning materials including books, journals, computers, CD-ROMs, and other audio-visual materials are maintained
Ensures the resident management system for the programs is maintained, including updating resident demographic data and resident/fellow schedules, importing program and rotation goals and objectives, tracking conference attendance and vacation/leave schedules, and ensuring timely completion of duty hours reports.
Ensures program information is updated in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
Ensures reports are submitted as required by the ACGME, the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC), and other internal/external stakeholders.
Develops and implements operational policies, procedures, and standards.
Manages performance of GME staff, implements process improvement measures, and establishes service standards.
Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained in controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
Certification and Licensing:

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS
The duties and responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:
Assist the Director of Education and Vice Chair of Education with Education Budget planning
Assist in development of pathology undergraduate medical education curriculum
Participate in international training program curriculum development
Management of multiple ACGME-accredited Fellowship Programs including but not limited to:
a. All ACGME related items including but not limited to accreditation, meetings, and site visits
b. Onboarding, credentialing, and trainee portfolios
c. Didactics schedule at the discretion of the PD
Assist in planning department sponsored CME activities
Preparation of Education Division updates for Departmental Meetings at the discretion of the Vice Chair of Education
Review and revise education policies
Professional development to stay abreast of ACGME, GME and other professional/pathology education organizations
