Location: DeLand, Florida
Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 AM–7:00 PM, with alternating Saturdays every 12 weeks

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Laboratory Operations to lead technical and operational functions in a high-volume, high-complexity laboratory environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a laboratory leader who excels in operational performance, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and team development.


Reporting to the Director of Laboratory Operations, you will play a key role in optimizing workflows, strengthening laboratory performance, developing future leaders, and ensuring the delivery of accurate, high-quality laboratory services.


Key Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence: Oversee laboratory operations, monitor performance metrics, optimize workflows, and achieve quality and financial targets.
  
  
• Team Leadership: Lead laboratory supervisors and frontline teams while promoting accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
  
  
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure laboratory testing meets applicable CAP, CLIA, federal, and Florida state regulatory requirements.
  
  
• Performance Improvement: Drive process standardization, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership to support service line growth, resource planning, and operational strategy.
  
  
• Stakeholder Relations: Build strong relationships with internal and external customers and resolve operational concerns effectively.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related science field.
  
  
• Minimum 5+ years of laboratory leadership experience in a high-volume, high-complexity testing environment.
  
  
• Active Medical Technologist registry through ASCP, NCA, AAB, or an equivalent organization.
  
  
• Florida Supervisor License required.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of laboratory quality assurance, quality control, and regulatory compliance, including CAP and CLIA standards.
  
  
• Proven leadership, communication, team development, and operational improvement skills.
  
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  
  

Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant science discipline.
