Pega's Cloud Engineering organization is responsible for delivering highly available, secure, and scalable cloud services that power mission critical applications for some of the world's largest organizations.


The Cloud Quality Engineering team plays a key role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and reliability of Pega Cloud releases. We work closely with engineering, product management, operations, and security teams to establish quality standards, drive automation, improve testing practices, and foster a culture where quality is built into every stage of software delivery.

As the Senior Manager, Cloud Quality Engineering, you will lead a team of quality engineering professionals focused on delivering high quality cloud services and releases across Pega's cloud platform. You will help shape the testing strategy, quality standards, automation framework, and continuous improvement initiatives that enable Cloud Engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions at scale.


This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about modern quality engineering practices, cloud technologies, and building high performing global teams.


What You'll Do at Pega:


+ Lead and develop a global team of cloud quality leads and cloud automation Engineers working across dozens of cloud native services

+ Define and execute the overall cloud quality engineering strategy across multiple engineering teams

+ Establish, communicate, and evolve quality standards, metrics, and release readiness criteria

+ Drive adoption of automated quality and testing practices throughout the software development lifecycle

+ Partner closely with other engineering leaders to ensure quality is embedded throughout design, development, testing, and deployment activities

+ Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance release quality, reliability, and operational excellence

+ Analyze quality trends and leverage data driven insights to improve engineering outcomes

+ Influence technical decisions related to testing frameworks, test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and release management

+ Partner with cross functional teams including Product Management, Cloud Operations, Cloud Release Management, and Architecture to deliver world class cloud services

+ Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus

You are a collaborative and technically strong engineering leader who understands how to balance speed, quality, and reliability in a cloud environment. You enjoy mentoring teams, solving complex problems, and influencing organizations to adopt modern quality engineering practices.


You are passionate about automation, continuous improvement, and helping teams deliver exceptional customer experiences.


What You've Accomplished:


+ 8+ years of experience in cloud quality engineering, cloud test automation, or cloud engineering

+ 3+ years of experience leading technical teams or engineering managers

+ Embraced AI as a pivotal technology that is continuously evolving in the industry

+ Experience working within cloud native or SaaS environments, with services built and deployed on cloud hyperscalers such as AWS and GCP

+ Expertise with test automation frameworks and cloud quality engineering best practices

+ Experience with cloud CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps methodologies

+ Strong understanding of software development lifecycle processes and agile delivery models

+ Experience establishing and measuring quality KPIs and engineering metrics

+ Demonstrated success partnering with engineering leadership to improve quality across multiple teams


Nice to haves*


+ Experience supporting enterprise scale SaaS platforms

+ Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

+ Knowledge of performance, security, and resilience testing practices

+ Experience leading distributed global teams

+ Experience supporting highly regulated environments such as FedRAMP, financial services, healthcare, or government sectors

+ Experience implementing quality engineering transformations within large engineering organizations

Additional Information


Base salary range for this role is 157,900 - 245,200 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.


The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
