    Description

    Job OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to improve product quality and integrity in apparel and footwear. You will assess current processes, identify gaps, and develop strategies to enhance materials, colors, and manufacturing standards.Work LocationBoston, MassachusettsHybrid schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day remote.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze current apparel and footwear capabilities, materials, and manufacturing processes.Identify gaps and recommend improvements in tools, processes, and quality controls.Develop and implement strategies to improve material and color quality.Work to reduce defects and ensure overall product integrity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Development, Sourcing, Engineering, Standards, Material Vendors, Factories).Partner with engineers and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities.Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior leadership.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Textile Science, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, quality assurance, or related field.End-to-end experience in footwear and/or apparel, from design to manufacturing.Strong knowledge of textile manufacturing, dyeing, finishing, printing, and testing.Understanding of fibers, yarns, knits, wovens, and materials inspection.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.Familiarity with Smartsheet, Tableau, Miro, or Slack is preferred.Strong project management and organizational skills.Ability to work independently with attention to detail and a positive attitude.Comfortable working through ambiguity and adapting to change.#J-18808-Ljbffr
