At REI, we believe a life outdoors is a life well lived, and this role will help us understand how customers discover, engage with, and respond to the Co-op across an increasingly complex digital landscape. As a Senior Marketing Analyst, you will analyze performance across paid search, social, digital media, organic search, and other marketing programs, translating data into insights that improve customer acquisition, membership, sales, and marketing effectiveness. SEO and organic discovery will be an important area of focus, partnering with our SEO team to investigate changes in organic traffic and understand how traditional search, GEO, AI-powered search and shopping, and changing consumer behaviors are affecting REI’s business.
You will operate as a full-stack digital marketing analyst, working with a high degree of ownership across the analytical lifecycle. You will use SQL to extract and investigate data, develop reporting and visualizations, diagnose performance changes, design and analyze tests, and translate complex findings into clear recommendations. You will also contribute to media mix and marketing effectiveness analysis, helping connect channel performance to incrementality, customer behavior, and investment decisions. Working closely with Marketing Analysts, Data Scientists, program managers, and channel teams, you will help turn ambiguous business questions into practical measurement approaches and actionable insights.
This is a senior individual-contributor role combining technical depth, analytical leadership, curiosity, and collaboration. You will help guide analytical approaches, strengthen the work of other analysts, share new methods and technologies, and provide light project leadership to move cross-functional work from question to recommendation. We are looking for someone with strong SQL and digital analytics skills, experience with marketing measurement, and an aptitude for quickly learning emerging technologies such as AI. In the spirit of Opt Outside, we value people who challenge assumptions, explore new ideas, and are excited about how data and technology can help REI better serve the outdoor community.
