Type: Full-time, direct hire

A well-established, 1,000+ employee design-build mechanical contractor headquartered in St. Louis is looking for a Senior HVAC Design Engineer. They need someone who can mentor and still produce at a high level. This is a hands-on senior seat with real ownership of projects and a chance to shape the next generation of engineers.

You’ll work in a design-build and design-assist environment. Your designs are fabricated and built in-house, so you see the results of your work and collaborate directly with construction, fabrication and preconstruction teams.

What You’ll Do

• Run your own design projects from start to finish in Revit, including more sophisticated, complex jobs
• Design HVAC and mechanical systems across a wide range of system types
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, primarily on simpler projects
• Partner with construction, fabrication and preconstruction teams in a design-build/design-assist model

What You Bring

• Roughly 10-15 years of HVAC/mechanical design experience
• Broad knowledge of mechanical design systems (a generalist’s range, not a single-system specialist)
• Proven ability to run your own projects in Revit
• A genuine willingness and ability to mentor while still producing your own work
• Residence in the St. Louis area, or a manageable commute

Preferred, Not Required

• Professional Engineer (PE) license. Ideal, but not a deal breaker. Missouri licensure or the ability to obtain it by comity is a plus.
• Design-build or contractor-side experience
• Project experience in healthcare, labs/pharma, mission critical, higher education or industrial facilities
