Senior Mechanical Engineer PE - Mission Critical

Our client, a stable and consistently profitable engineering consulting firm in the Columbus area, is hiring a Mechanical Engineer PE / Senior Mechanical Engineer PE to lead projects for its mission-critical clients. You'll own projects from concept through completion on data center, telecommunications, commercial, and light industrial work.

What you'll do:

- Manage multiple mechanical/HVAC engineering projects from start to finish

- Coordinate with owners, contractors, and project stakeholders, and lead project meetings

- Provide HVAC/mechanical engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle

- Support construction activities, with site visits as needed (sometimes about once a week)

What we're looking for:

- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering

- 6-20 years of experience in consulting engineering or HVAC construction

- Active Ohio PE license

- Strong knowledge of NFPA, ASHRAE, and related building codes

- HVAC design experience with chillers, rooftop units, piping, and ductwork for commercial and industrial projects

- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Trane TRACE, MS Project, and Microsoft Office

- Able to work onsite in the Columbus, OH area; authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
