The Challenge

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Application Engineer to drive the development and enhancement of its native iOS and Android applications. This role offers an opportunity to build scalable, high-performance mobile solutions, tackle complex architectural challenges, and contribute to the technical direction of modern mobile applications.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in either native iOS or Android development, with a solid understanding of mobile application architecture, performance optimization, and modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of mobile application features using Swift/SwiftUI (iOS) or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose (Android).

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, modular, and maintainable mobile application architectures.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks related to application responsiveness, memory management, UI rendering, and overall user experience.

• Implement modern architectural patterns such as MVVM, Coordinators, and Clean Architecture.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and business teams to translate requirements into high-quality mobile solutions.

• Mentor and guide developers through code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices.

• Contribute to CI/CD improvements, automated testing, and streamlined application release processes.

• Ensure application quality, reliability, security, and performance across different devices and platforms.

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3+ years of native mobile application development.

• Strong hands-on experience in either:

• iOS: Swift, SwiftUI, and modern iOS development.
• Android: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android development.
• • Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, including MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modular application design.
• • Experience with asynchronous programming and reactive frameworks such as Swift Concurrency (async/await), Combine, Coroutines, and Flow.
• • Experience integrating REST APIs, JSON, and local data storage solutions such as Core Data, UserDefaults, or Room.
• • Ability to design scalable applications, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and make sound architectural decisions.
• • Familiarity with dependency management, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and multi-environment application builds.
