Position Summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a Senior Mobile Architect on behalf of the District of Columbia Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) in support of the DC Department of Motor Vehicles (DC DMV).

OCTO is seeking a Senior Mobile Architect to support modernization of the DC DMV Mobile Application, architecting and developing iOS and Android applications integrated with Mobile Backend as a Service (MBaaS).

The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) is modernizing the District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles (DC DMV) Mobile Application to leverage new digital technologies such as cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and mobile capabilities required to create a modern experience for DC DMV customers and partners. The DMV Mobile Application (Destiny) helps DC DMV improve services to citizens and enhance government operations while strengthening overall data security. To address these challenges, the OCTO-DMV team is looking to hire a highly skilled senior developer to rapidly connect the DMV Mobile Application with modern technology.

This role will architect, design, and develop mobile applications in iOS and Android integrated with Mobile Backend as a Service (MBaaS) using the Java API for RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS) architecture. The selected candidate will work to gain an understanding of DC DMV mobile infrastructure and application implementation requirements that facilitate continuous feature release of applications.

This is a Master level position which requires 16 years of work experience and a BS Degree or the equivalent.

Required and Desired Skills

• Genuine core JAVA development with strong back-end development skills (Required, 12 years)
  
• Strong backend system design and architecture - JAVA Annotations, Generics, Reflection, Inheritance, OO Design, NIO, Bean Validation (Required, 15 years)
  
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience (Required, 12 years)
  
• Enterprise mobile application development experience with iOS and Android (Required, 7 years)
  
• Omnichannel MADP experience across different form factors - NFC, BLE, and IR (Required, 10 years)
  
• Spring Boot Application Development experience (Required, 10 years)
  
• Spring - Java Config, Dependency Injection, Autowiring Concepts (Required, 10 years)
  
• Spring Integration Development experience (Required, 10 years)
  
• Spring Web Services Development experience (Required, 10 years)
  
• Experience with MAVEN project build (Required, 10 years)
  
• Experience with GIT version control repository (Required, 12 years)
  
• Experience with Tomcat/Jetty/Undertow Application Servers (Required, 10 years)
  
• Experience with LINUX working environment (Required, 10 years)
  
• Experience with JIRA issue tracker (Desired, 8 years)
  
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) practices (Desired, 8 years)
