    Job Description

Step into the day and lead the fix

Picture this: sunrise on a job site in Arizona, a Class 8 unit down, and you roll up in a fully equipped service truck. By mid-morning you’ve traced an intermittent CAN bus fault to a failing ECM input, operated your service crane to support a repair, and by afternoon you’re guiding a junior tech through a precision overhaul. That’s a typical day for a Transwest Mobile pro—keeping contractors, municipalities, and fleet operators moving with minimal downtime across Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, and Utah.

With over 25 years of trusted service behind us, we’re known for innovation, leadership, and results. If you’re driven to solve complex problems and raise the bar for others, you’ll feel right at home.

    How you’ll make an impact

    • Own advanced diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems (including CAN bus and ECM), plus medium and light duty applications.
    • Perform precision engine overhauls, rebuilds, and complex component work efficiently and accurately.
    • Leverage cutting-edge diagnostic tools and service manuals to troubleshoot intricate issues.
    • Operate cranes and specialized gear to execute high-level maintenance tasks safely.
    • Mentor and train junior technicians, shaping a collaborative, high-performance culture.
    • Interface professionally with customers, delivering clear diagnostics and service recommendations.
    • Document work with meticulous records of repairs and maintenance.
    • Champion process improvements and uphold strict safety and performance standards.

    What you bring

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • 5–10+ years’ experience in heavy equipment, diesel, or hydraulic system repair.
    • Expert command of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
    • Mastery of advanced diagnostics and complex repairs (e.g., CAN bus, ECM).
    • A complete professional toolset suited to the job.
    • Strong organization and the independence to excel under pressure.
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle (mobile role).
    • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in indoor/outdoor environments.

    Preferred qualifications

    • Multiple ASE certifications including T2–T8 or Master Diesel Technician status.
    • Experience as a lead tech, supervisor, or shop manager.
    • Demonstrated success in field service or mobile repair.
    • Excellent customer-facing communication; proven leadership on job sites.
