Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior .NET/Azure Integration Developer to design, implement, deploy and support enterprise integrations for tolling services. The work spans Microsoft .NET and C#, Azure cloud services, middleware, CRM, interactive voice response (IVR), document storage and retrieval, and external systems supporting high-volume operations. The developer will help deliver complex integration solutions that operate reliably and efficiently across customer-facing and back-end services.
The position is virtual/remote with required onsite meetings in Middletown, Pennsylvania, for one week each month. An onsite orientation day is required to receive assigned equipment. Additional visits may be needed for planned implementations or support activities, including potential rotating onsite support for one to two weeks after the platform goes live. An initial Teams video interview requires an active camera, independent responses without AI assistance, and use of the laptop's built-in camera, screen, microphone and speakers; subsequent interviews may be in person. Travel reimbursement is subject to client restrictions and approval.
Primary Responsibilities
• Design, develop, deploy and support enterprise integration solutions using Microsoft .NET, C#, Azure cloud technologies, middleware, document storage and retrieval, and cloud hosting.
• Analyze solution components and their integration models; assess options for high-volume integration and processing.
• Apply best practices for on-demand open APIs and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary data replication and integration.
• Improve technical integrations, streamline data flows and optimize system performance.
• Lead development and implementation of complex solutions that meet tolling project requirements and integrate CRM, Azure services, IVR technologies and external systems.
• Design and implement integrations among SAP, CRM platforms, Azure cloud services, IVR systems and third-party services such as payment gateways, back-end databases and traffic management systems.
• Design and optimize IVR systems for customer interactions, operational efficiency and integration with CRM and tolling back-end systems.
• Document technical and functional designs, diagrams, test plans, test scripts, impact analysis, lessons learned and implementation best practices, using prescribed client formats and templates.
• Comply with client standards, policies and procedures, and perform other related assigned responsibilities.
Required Technical Skills
• Expert knowledge of Azure cloud solutions, IVR systems and integrations with external systems specifically in tolling projects.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft government and commercial Azure cloud platforms, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS offerings.
• Advanced ability to design and implement integrations with external tolling systems such as toll collection and traffic management platforms.
Education
• Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred: Master's degree.
• Bachelor's degree in business management or information systems (requirement level to be confirmed).
Preferred Qualifications
• Highly desired: Prior experience with Pennsylvania tolling solutions.
• Highly desired: Deep experience developing complex, high-volume system integrations involving SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Microsoft Azure cloud hosting.
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining enterprise integrations using C#, .NET 8 or supported .NET LTS releases, and ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices and custom middleware components.
• Experience building Azure Functions with HTTP, Service Bus, timer and blob triggers.
• Experience developing reusable components, shared libraries and integration frameworks.
• Experience with JSON/XML payload transformations, validation and data mapping.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Service Bus, including queues, topics, subscriptions, sessions and dead-letter queues.
• Experience designing secure REST APIs consistent with enterprise API standards, clean coding principles, SOLID design patterns and secure coding practices.
• Hands-on experience designing, developing and optimizing IVR systems, preferably in tolling or similar customer-facing environments.
