Job Description
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Irving, TX.
Duties:
- Senior Network Engineer will design, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex enterprise network issues
- Provide advanced Tier 3 technical support for network infrastructure and connectivity
- Resolve technical incidents and maintain detailed documentation within a ticketing system
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to maintain network availability and performance
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams when necessary
- Support highly available, scalable, and secure enterprise and cloud network environments
- Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business requirements, industry standards, and best practices
- Install, configure, and support network hardware, infrastructure components, and cabling within data center and corporate environments
- As a Senior Network Engineer, you will perform approved network changes in accordance with established procedures while minimizing business disruption
- Perform network maintenance, system upgrades, patches, and related infrastructure updates
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and network support procedures
- Monitor network performance, identify trends, and support capacity planning across LAN, WLAN, MAN, and WAN environments
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience supporting and managing large-scale enterprise network environments
- 2+ years of experience with network design, planning, connectivity, migrations, and technical support
- Experience with enterprise networking technologies and platforms, such as Cisco, F5, Juniper, or comparable solutions
- Strong knowledge of common network protocols, including TCP, UDP, STP, HSRP, BGP, and OSPF
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within complex network environments
- Relevant networking certifications, such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIP, or equivalent, are preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
