Summary:

Cosm is looking for an experienced senior network engineer to help build a new global network and operations center from the ground up. Youll partner with several different technology teams within Cosm to define and create a network supporting the companys growing immersive entertainment business. This is an amazing opportunity to join a new team on the ground floor of a new venture, designing networks from scratch rather than inheriting someone elses architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and manage Palo Alto firewalls across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain security policies, access controls, and NAT rules to meet organizational requirements.
• Partner with peers, other departments, and vendors on deploying and maintaining a new multi-site network infrastructure.
• Evaluate, select, and implement proposed solution packages for new site buildouts.
• Advise on high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the engineering team.
• Develop design changes to the initial architecture based on changing requirements.
• Create and update documentation for network designs, best practices, and operational procedures.
• Be Tier 2 and 3 support for networks once implementation is completed.
• Train Tier 1 support teams in troubleshooting procedures.
• Act as part of the Global Operations team in monitoring the overall infrastructure.
• Maintain, and update network equipment to the latest stable firmware release.
• Manage wireless networks, Network Access Control (NAC), and infrastructure monitoring.
• Research emerging methodologies to constantly improve the efficiency of current networks.
• Establish and implement network security protocols and procedures.
• Develop automation tooling to better improve our deployment and disaster recovery operations.
• Available for nights and weekends, as schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility required.
• Work during live productions in non-office environments with loud noise levels and busy conditions.

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in IT.
• 8+ years of experience working in Networking and Security.
• CCNP or equivalent hands-on experience managing, updating, and troubleshooting Routing/Switching/Wireless networks.
• Experience with BGP routing protocol.
• Experience managing Palo Alto firewalls, including creating and monitoring firewall policies; PCNSE or PCNSA certification required.
• Experience with network security, including establishing and implementing security protocols and procedures.
• Proficiency with our core vendor stack: Cisco, Palo Alto (including Panorama, CloudVision, SD-WAN), Dell, Ruckus, Arista, and ClearPass.
• Experience with Azure/GCP/AWS network design.
• Hands-on, production experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi) and scripting (Python preferred) for network automation, API integration, and configuration templating.
• Experience with platforms like Infoblox for IPAM, DHCP, and DNS management and automation.
• Experience with troubleshooting with ISPs.
• Willingness and ability to travel and perform physical tasks required for installations - rack and stack, maneuvering around venues, lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with supporting media and broadcast systems and live entertainment operations.

Broadcast specialty (strong plus):

• Experience with Video Multicast, PTP
• Knowledge of SMPTE 2110

The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $160,000 to $175,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidates geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
