Description
Role Summary: An established consulting organization is seeking an experienced professional to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of a large-scale enterprise network environment. This position ensures the reliability, security, and high performance of critical network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, cloud connectivity, and demilitarized zone (DMZ) architecture.

- Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and virtual private network technologies.
- Configure and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, encompassing virtual local area networks, routing, switching, and network segmentation.
- Administer and troubleshoot enterprise firewall platforms, featuring a strong emphasis on Palo Alto Firewalls for security policies, network address translation, and rule management.
- Configure and support enterprise load balancing solutions such as F5 or Citrix ADC to optimize application performance and availability.
- Design and maintain secure demilitarized zone environments supporting internal and external-facing applications.
- Support hybrid cloud networking initiatives, including secure connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, and implement proactive technical improvements.
- Partner with network, infrastructure, and security teams to support production deployments, upgrades, and formal change management activities.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning for enterprise networking operations.
- Perform comprehensive network documentation, standards development, and configuration management.
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements to increase reliability, scalability, and security.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of dedicated enterprise network engineering experience.
- Core Technical Knowledge: Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus operating systems and spine-leaf network architecture.
- Networking Protocols: Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, virtual local area networks, multiprotocol label switching, border gateway protocol, open shortest path first, and domain name system.
- Security & Infrastructure: Demonstrated proficiency with Palo Alto Firewalls, enterprise load balancers, demilitarized zone architectures, and Microsoft Azure cloud connectivity.
- Security Principles: Comprehensive understanding of access control, authentication, encryption, and intrusion detection or prevention systems.
- Operational Environment: Proven background working within large enterprise production settings utilizing formal change management processes.
- Professional Certifications (Preferred): Cisco Certified Network Professional credential.
- Industry Background (Preferred): Prior experience supporting financial services or similarly regulated enterprise environments.
- Communication: Native or bilingual English proficiency paired with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
