Senior Network Security Engineer

Pay Range: $45.00hr - $50.00hr

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a Security Consultant with over 10 years of experience to manage and maintain complex network security environments. The candidate will be responsible for the configuration, auditing, and troubleshooting of firewall and security infrastructure while adhering to high-quality standards and ITIL processes.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, FXOS, Palo Alto firewalls, and Panorama.
• Full understanding of Palo Alto Firewall concepts like Security Zones, Security policy ordering, Searching and Sorting Audit logs, Address Sets, negated addresses, User Roles and tables, route-based policies, address-books, and Application traffic control.
• The candidate must have hands-on experience with Cisco ISE for VPN authentication, AAA, and policy creation.
• Understanding and experience with routing protocols.
• Hands-on skill in handling security incidents and planning mitigation.
• Good understanding of Symantec DLP.
• The candidate should have a good understanding and extensive hands-on experience with various security technologies including Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint security solutions (AV, HIPS, Hard Disk Encryption), strong Authentication products (RSA SecurID), Content Security Gateways (Cisco IronPort Web/Mail Security Gateways), Cisco ISE, and TACACS/AAA solutions.
• Understanding of F5 load balancers.
• The successful candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to participate in review meetings to address points of concern.
• The candidate should have the capability to conduct risk analysis, impact analysis, and identify dependencies on internal teams.
• Knowledge and experience working with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes.

Non-Technical Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with other team members for availability of capable resources.
• Ensure quality work by reviewing and validating technical configuration changes.
• Coordinate with Centers of Excellence (COE) resources for resolution of technical issues before escalation to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).

Technical Responsibilities:

• Configuration of Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Articulate or highlight risks and dependencies.
• Participation in an on-call support rotation is required.
• Firewall auditing and review of access control lists, updating firewalls as needed.
• Interacting with various teams in managing the log management solution.
• Adhering to high-quality standards and best practices for high performance, scalable, and repeatable processes in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and investigate network security-related incidents based on security platform reporting, network traffic, log files, and automated security alerts.
• Evaluate systems using vulnerability scanners and manual techniques to verify system security settings and configurations.
