Senior NOC Technician

General Summary of Position:

The NOC (Network Operations Center) Technician at Granite Telecommunications plays a critical role in monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the company's network infrastructure to ensure optimal uptime and performance. This role provides frontline troubleshooting, incident escalation, and network event management, working closely with engineering and support teams to resolve issues promptly. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, and skilled in identifying and addressing network problems in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical lead for the NOC, driving innovation and operational excellence.
• Define and enforce best practices for network monitoring, incident response, and escalation.
• Lead strategic initiatives to enhance VOIP, SD-WAN, and broadband service delivery.
• Act as a liaison between NOC, engineering, and executive leadership.
• Oversee vendor relationships and SLA compliance.
• Mentor and develop career paths for NOC staff across all levels.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in network operations or telecom leadership.
• Mastery of VOIP/SIP, SD-WAN, DIA, EPIK, and broadband technologies.
• Deep understanding of network security frameworks and enterprise architecture.
• Proven leadership in high-availability network environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with enterprise NOC transformation and automation.
• Strategic planning and budget management experience.

The compensation range for this position is $78,500-$91,000 and represents the range that Granite reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, education, job related skills, and overall alignment with the role.
