Job Title: Senior Observability Engineer (Datadog).

About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking a Senior Observability Engineer for the global technology estate of a major commercial real estate and facilities organization.
You will own Datadog across infra, apps, network, cloud, logs, and digital experience—plus automation (Rundeck, Ansible, Python) and AIOps. Datadog depth is the gate. One client interview; identity verification is required at submission.
What You’ll Do:
- Build, configure, and optimize Datadog (infra, APM, network, cloud, logs, DEM).
- Create dashboards, monitors, alerts, integrations, SLIs, SLOs, and service-health views.
- Configure and troubleshoot Datadog agents, integrations, APIs, collectors, and telemetry pipelines.
- Automate onboarding, config, remediation, and ops with Rundeck, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, APIs, and Git.
- Practice observability-as-code.
- Tune AIOps: correlation, anomaly detection, intelligent alerting, noise reduction, incident enrichment.
- Use AI/GenAI to speed troubleshooting and operational workflows.
- Integrate Datadog with ServiceNow, Rundeck, cloud, and CI/CD.
- Investigate issues from metrics, logs, traces, events, and network telemetry across APAC, AMER, and EMEA.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years observability, monitoring, SRE, infrastructure, or APM.
- Strong hands-on Datadog in a large enterprise.
- Metrics, logs, traces, distributed tracing, alerting, SLIs, SLOs.
- Rundeck and Ansible.
- Scripting: Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- REST APIs, webhooks, Git/GitHub, CI/CD.
- Azure and/or AWS.
- Familiarity with IaC / config management.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multiple Datadog domains (infra, APM, logs, NPM, cloud, DEM).
- AIOps and GenAI for ops.
- Reducing alert noise and telemetry cost.
- Datadog, AWS, Azure, or SRE certs.
- Global follow-the-sun collaboration.
