Job Description:
We are seeking Senior OpenShift Administrators with proven expertise in managing and scaling Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, specifically targeting OpenShift version 4.12.
These roles are part of a high-priority initiative supporting WebScale/OpenShift builds for a client.
All positions are remote contract roles, requiring hands-on experience and certification in OpenShift administration.
Candidates must hold a valid Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator credential and be capable of managing complex containerized environments with a focus on reliability, scalability, and secure access.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain OpenShift Container Platform environments (target version: 4.12).
• Configure and manage users, roles, and access policies.
• Control access to resources and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking components within OpenShift clusters.
• Create, deploy, and manage containerized applications.
• Configure pod scheduling and optimize resource allocation.
• Implement and manage cluster scaling strategies to support performance and availability.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless platform integration.
Mandatory Skills and Skill Proficiencies Required for This Position:
• Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator – Active certification required.
• OpenShift Administration (v4.12) – Advanced proficiency in managing OpenShift clusters, users, policies, and networking.
• Cluster Scaling & Pod Scheduling – Strong experience in configuring and optimizing OpenShift workloads.
• Security & Access Control – Proven ability to manage secure access and enforce policies in enterprise environments.
Optional Skills and Skill Proficiencies for This Position:
• CI/CD Integration – Familiarity with integrating OpenShift into DevOps pipelines.
• Monitoring & Logging – Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack in OpenShift environments.
• Cloud Platforms – Exposure to OpenShift deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Automation Tools – Knowledge of Ansible or Terraform for infrastructure automation
