    Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Grace Evangelical Free Church in Stamford, Connecticut as they search for their next Senior Pastor. Grace is a diverse, welcoming Evangelical Free church with deep roots in Stamford and a mission to glorify God by loving Him, loving people, and making disciples.

    The next Senior Pastor will provide biblical preaching, spiritual leadership, and relational shepherding while helping Grace Church strengthen unity, develop leaders, engage the community, and reach the next generation.


    The ideal candidate will be:


    • A warm, relational shepherd who builds trust across generations and backgrounds.
    • A collaborative leader who works well with elders, staff, and ministry leaders.
    • An outward-facing pastor with a heart for evangelism, youth, families, and discipleship.
    • A mature, adaptable leader who can navigate diverse worship preferences and church dynamics with wisdom and grace.


    POSITION OVERVIEW


    Grace Evangelical Free Church is seeking a full-time Senior Pastor to serve as the primary preacher, shepherd, and spiritual leader of the congregation. This leader will honor the church’s history while helping clarify vision, strengthen ministry systems, and encourage renewed engagement in mission.


    RESPONSIBILITIES


    • Preach and teach God’s Word faithfully, clearly, and with practical application.
    • Shepherd the congregation through pastoral care, prayer, counsel, and relational presence.
    • Partner with the elders to cultivate unity, clarify vision, and provide spiritual leadership.
    • Equip elders, deacons, ministry leaders, volunteers, and emerging leaders for service.
    • Lead with humility, collaboration, clear communication, and healthy accountability.
