Senior Payroll Technician

Position Summary

The Senior Payroll Technician performs advanced payroll functions and serves as a subject matter expert within the payroll team. This role is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll and off-cycle pay runs, ensuring accurate pay and deduction calculations, troubleshooting complex payroll issues, and providing guidance and support across payroll operations.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience required.
• Strong understanding of payroll processing, tax regulations, deductions, and payroll compliance.
• Experience researching and resolving complex payroll discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently while supporting team members and internal customers.

Education & Certification Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) credential must be obtained within 18 months of hire.

Location & Schedule

• BayCare System Office - Clearwater, FL
• Full-Time
• Non-Exempt
• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Hybrid work arrangement
• No weekends or on-call responsibilities
