DESRI is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join its team as a senior permitting manager. DESRI is a market-leading owner and operator of renewable energy projects throughout the United States.
What you'll do
You’ll lead and consult on permitting matters across DESRI’s development portfolio, including providing expert environmental support; ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations; and supporting due diligence efforts related to environmental permitting, siting, and approvals. You’ll collaborate with and advise the team on a wide array of environmental topics. You’ll also help drive initiatives around environmental assessments (including Section 7 and Section 106 consultations), local discretionary permits, and state siting approvals. You’ll work closely with external consultants to ensure permitting strategies are carried out on a timeline that meets project objectives and financial goals. You’ll be responsible for assessing and communicating environmental risks, sharing your subject matter expertise with internal and external decision makers, and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree, at least five years of experience in environmental consulting or permitting, and an impressive record of academic or professional achievement are required.
Intellectually curious individuals with well-developed written and verbal communication skills, analytical acumen, and effective project management abilities will excel in this role.
Experience in consulting and renewable energy is preferred.
A degree in environmental studies, biology, or a related field is preferred.
This role requires occasional travel.
At DESRI, we consider a wide range of factors to determine your compensation. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, location, skills, and experience. The expected annual base salary for this position is $120,000 to $145,000.
Our compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, paid time off, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.
