Job Description: The Senior Planner will lead and support CEQA review and environmental planning assignments for public agency clients. The role will also contribute to current and long-range planning projects, creating opportunities to support a range of municipal needs. Responsibilities: Manage CEQA review from project scoping through environmental clearance, including exemptions, Initial Studies, Negative Declarations, Mitigated Negative Declarations, Environmental Impact Reports, addenda, and supplemental documents. Prepare and review environmental analyses, mitigation measures, findings, and monitoring programs. Coordinate technical studies and multidisciplinary teams, including air quality, noise, transportation, biological, cultural, and other subject matter specialists. Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, quality control, and communication with agency clients and consultants. Prepare planning reports and other written materials, and present findings at public meetings and hearings. Support current planning assignments such as development review, entitlements, and land use analysis. Contribute to long-range planning projects such as General Plans, Specific Plans, Housing Elements, zoning updates, and related policy work.
