Senior Power Distribution Circuit Card Engineer

Role overview

Lead the end‑to‑end design of power electronics circuit card assemblies (CCAs), delivering robust, testable hardware that meets stringent performance, EMI, grounding, isolation, and environmental criteria.

Key facts

  • Duration: Jul 06, 2026 – Jul 06, 2027 (366 Days) (12 months)
  • Pay Rate: $ to $71.83
  • Schedule: 4/10 – 1st Shift
  • On‑site: 3 days/week required, dependent on program needs
  • Core office days: Tuesday and Wednesday; Flex WFH: Monday or Thursday

What you’ll do

  • Own concept‑to‑release CCA development: schematics, EPCAD layout, verification, and documentation.
  • Use Siemens Xpedition Enterprise (or equivalent) for schematic capture and apply industry best practices for routing and signal integrity.
  • Develop power distribution CCAs to meet thermal, reliability, and performance targets.
  • Author, decompose, and trace requirements across performance, interface, and environmental domains.
  • Perform trade studies to select components, topologies, and manufacturing processes.
  • Build complete design data packages (BOMs, drawings, test plans, verification results) for Design Assurance review and release.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, software, and test to align design, procurement, and test schedules.
  • Produce artifacts for each Design Assurance gate to satisfy program standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Mentor junior engineers; promote inclusive, collaborative, and excellence‑oriented teamwork.

Must‑have qualifications

  • Experience developing and refining system requirements: performance, interfaces, and environmental.
  • Track record in power electronics circuit card design, integration, and test.
  • Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or a similar schematic capture platform.

Nice‑to‑have qualifications

  • Background in system power design and distribution architectures.
  • EMI, grounding, and isolation expertise.
  • Familiarity with the MFC Design Assurance process.
  • EPCAD layout and signal‑routing experience.
  • Knowledge of environmental qualification testing for electronics (shock, vibration).
  • Ability to conduct trade studies and prepare architecture diagrams and requirements packages.

Education

  • Accredited BS or higher in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 8 years of professional experience.

Security

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
