Senior Preconstruction Manager - Industrial

A respected commercial general contractor in the western Chicago suburbs is looking for a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead its industrial work from early concept through buyout. You'll guide budgets, strategy and design decisions on warehouse, distribution and manufacturing projects before crews ever break ground.

What You'll Do

• Lead preconstruction on industrial projects from conceptual design through bid and buyout
• Build conceptual, schematic and detailed estimates and keep budgets aligned as design develops
• Drive value engineering, constructability reviews and site and building system options with owners and design teams
• Manage trade partner outreach, bid leveling and scope reviews
• Partner with business development on pursuits, interviews and proposals
• Mentor estimators and hand off well-documented projects to operations

What You Bring

• Many years of preconstruction or estimating experience with a commercial general contractor, including industrial projects
• Strong cost knowledge of tilt-up, precast, steel, site work and MEP systems
• Comfort presenting budgets and options to owners, developers and architects
• Experience with estimating and takeoff software
• A collaborative leadership style and clear communication

What We Offer

• Pay range of $150,000–$186,000 per year, based on experience
