Senior Preconstruction Manager - Mechanical Contractor | St. Louis, MO

Lead preconstruction for an established commercial mechanical contractor in St. Louis. You'll be the person who shapes projects before they break ground, winning negotiated work and setting Operations up to succeed.

What you'll do:

• Build qualified mechanical budgets from conceptual drawings and narratives on design-build and design-assist projects
• Manage several RFQs and RFPs at once, from first look to final proposal
• Work with outside mechanical engineers and the full design team to develop systems and write the mechanical scope
• Bring LEED and sustainability into designs where it applies
• Build relationships with owners, architects/engineers and general contractors to win negotiated work
• Hand projects off cleanly to Operations so they start strong

What you bring:

• Several years of preconstruction, estimating or project management experience with a commercial mechanical (HVAC/piping/plumbing) contractor
• Comfort pricing work from conceptual and incomplete documents
• Design-build or design-assist experience
• Strong relationships, or the drive to build them, across the St. Louis owner, A/E and general contractor community
• Clear communication and the ability to run a team
