Senior Principal Systems Engineer

What You Will Do:
- Lead architecture and requirements development activities that define, characterize, develop and document Ground Based Radar (GBR) systems
- Contribute to architectural framework updates, system-of-system functional and performance requirements, detailed algorithm descriptions, test scenario definitions, and verification approaches
- Conduct requirements analysis and benchmarking to validate algorithm designs and ensure system-level performance aligns with operational objectives
- Collaborate closely with software and integration/test engineers to deliver innovative and high-performing radar solutions
- Support documentation, technical reviews, and customer engagements
Qualification You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant engineering experience
- Direct experience in radar or missile-defense sensor systems, including Model Based System Engineering and/or Cameo
- Proficiency in MATLAB (including object-oriented programming) for algorithm development, system modeling, or performance analysis
- Hands-on experience in system modeling, algorithm design, test vector development, or radar performance analysis
- Experience developing or maintaining engineering processes, methods, or tools
- Documented experience showing analytic, technical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, including technical writing, oral presentations, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Advanced Degree in STEM
- Experience with radar system concepts: detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance
- Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and evaluation tools in support of analyzing radar requirements or performance
- Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture
- Experience working with Python, C/C++, Java or DOORS
- Experience with the software development process using Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Previous experience interfacing with customers and leading the development of technical solutions for complex user requirements
- Experience working with other disciplines and communicating with all levels of the organization and stakeholders
