Purpose and Mission

• Responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and improving the manufacturing proces.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Monitoring and Adjusting Machine Parameters: Ensuring machines operate within set parameters to maintain product quality.
• Testing Batch Quality: Regularly testing products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Reporting Equipment Malfunctions: Identifying and reporting any machine faults to supervisors.
• Maintaining Production Logbooks: Keeping detailed records of production processes and any issues encountered.
• Ensuring Safety Protocols: Making sure all safety guidelines are followed and addressing any safety hazards.
• Improving Production Processes: Identifying areas for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs

Skills

• Broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience

Previous Experience

• 3 to 5 years experience with operational procedures and tools

Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering is preferred.

Job Opportunity: Senior Process Engineer

Job Location: Rome, GA Duties: Develop and write equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analyses, and technical proposals based on customer and process requirements for steel wire manufacturing company. Build and maintain PFMEA, PCP/control plans, process maintenance schedules, and SOPs using risk analysis, reliability, and standard quality system documentation tools. Apply engineering principles, statistical analysis, problem solving methodologies, & continuous improvement methods to improve machine efficiency, process capability, product quality, and cost performance. Define product tolerance using engineering drawings, Cp/Cpk studies, specifications, and translate them into production parameters through DOE, SPC, and process characterization while considering manufacturability, safety, and cost.

Requirements: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalant degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related discipline accepted, and 60 months experience as a Process Engineer or a closely related position within the steel wire manufacturing industry. Experience which may have been obtained concurrently must include 60 months experience in developing and writing equipment specifications within the steel wire manufacturing industry, building and maintaining PFMEA & PCP/control plans, utilizing Cp/Cpk studies in defining product tolerances.
