Senior Product Manager - Technical, Region Flexibility & Efficiency

As a Senior Product Manager - Technical (PMT), Region Flexibility & Efficiency, you will own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for helping Amazon businesses operate against constrained resources while improving the efficiency and scale of our business. Working backwards from customer and business needs, you will define the end-state architecture that lets services break region coupling while retaining the ability to keep critical business functions within a region. You will also reduce the builder effort required to execute efficiency initiatives by delivering Agentic AI and headless solutions that connect the disparate tools across Amazon"s ecosystem.

We are looking for a passionate, deeply technical, and customer-obsessed leader to define the Region Flexibility & Efficiency product and set the technical direction for fundamental architectural changes across the entire Amazon software stack. You will own the "what" and the "why": defining the customer problem, writing the narratives (PRFAQ, PRD) that align the organization, making data-driven prioritization and trade-off decisions, and defining the success metrics the initiative is measured against. You will partner closely with the engineering and program teams who own delivery, and influence architectural change across thousands of teams without direct authority.

Key job responsibilities

• Own the multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Region Flexibility & Efficiency, and secure alignment from engineering teams and senior leadership.
• Work backwards from customers and businesses to define requirements, and author the narrative documents (PRFAQ, PRD, product/technical specs) that drive decisions.
• Define the target architecture and technical direction in partnership with principal engineers, evaluating trade-offs across latency, resiliency, cost, and complexity.
• Define and track the metrics that measure product success, and use data to prioritize the roadmap and make build/no-build decisions.
• Influence architectural change across thousands of teams, and communicate the product vision to audiences ranging from individual developers to senior leaders.

About the team

The Region Flexibility & Efficiency (RFE) organization drives the optimization and resilience of Amazon"s global infrastructure. We own programs that shape how Amazon operates across AWS regions, from enabling services to run flexibly across regions to driving petabyte-scale efficiency improvements that directly influence Amazon"s infrastructure investment decisions.

Our portfolio spans infrastructure optimization programs, multi-region capacity strategy, fleet intelligence platforms, and agentic AI capabilities that automate performance improvements across hundreds of engineering teams. We support Amazon businesses including Stores, Prime Video, Alexa, and Kindle, and partner closely with AWS teams to improve both internal capabilities and public offerings.

This is a small, high-leverage team where individual contributors have direct impact at the highest levels of leadership.
