Once an order for a sign is taken, our Sr. Production Manager makes sure everyone is on point from there to completion. You are an organized, detail-oriented person who can see both the big picture and the small details that determine whether a job succeeds. You anticipate problems before they become problems, communicate well with many different types of people, manage priorities and deadlines, and enjoy making people and processes work better together.

What We Need From You 

As our Senior Production Manager, you will oversee the flow of sign projects from pre-production through fabrication and installation/delivery. You will verify Bills of Material, drawings and order details before jobs enter production to minimize waste, mistakes and rework. You will help the Production team schedule and complete work efficiently while coordinating purchasing, permitting/engineering, vendors, production, installation and change orders. 

You will be a strong communicator and time manager, coordinating with our Production team, installers, customers, general contractors, engineers, vendors and other partners to keep projects moving and resolve issues quickly. 

Winning in this role means: maintaining a production error rate below 5%; having at least 90% of signs fabricated on time; having at least 90% installed within one week of completing fabrication; completing installations on schedule and within budget; and ensuring 100% of variances from estimated budgets are captured in our system. 

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Strong operations, production, project-management and organizational skills 

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform effective pre-production quality control 

• Experience coordinating production schedules, purchasing, vendors and multiple simultaneous projects 

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, customers, general contractors, vendors and installation crews 

• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, measurements, Bills of Material and project requirements 

• Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to identify bottlenecks, anticipate problems and drive solutions 

• Understanding of budgets, estimated versus actual costs, change orders and operational accountability 

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, coach and hold others accountable 

• Experience in signs, custom manufacturing, construction, architectural products, fabrication or another project-based manufacturing environment preferred 

• A strong work ethic, positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to grow professionally
