The Senior Project Controller for the FAA IP VCS program (reporting to the COO and FAA Project Manager) operates with substantial ownership and accountability for end-to-end financial leadership of a critical national infrastructure program. This role partners closely with project management, corporate finance, sales, and executive leadership to ensure strong financial performance across the full program lifecycle.
Your tasks
- Direct end-to-end project controlling, acting as the financial advisor to project leaders and liaison to Finance teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project budgeting, consolidated forecasting, variance analysis, and executive financial reporting.
- Manage ongoing cost forecasting, partnering with project teams to project future expenses and estimate total cost at completion.
- Oversee project cash flow, including milestone tracking, funding level management, and timely customer invoicing.
- Review project milestones and assess financial impacts of key program decisions.
- Identify commercial risks and financial opportunities, driving continuous improvements in controlling processes.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and applicable regulatory requirements, supporting internal and external audits.
- Analyze financial impacts of scope or contract changes, providing data-driven insights during commercial negotiations.
- Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to support executive decision-making and cost optimization.
- Support implementation and enhancement of project tracking and financial control systems.
- Maintain financial dashboards, KPIs, and reporting on project performance and initiatives.

Your qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a comparable field, supported by extensive experience in project controlling.
- Proven track record in financial controlling for complex infrastructure or technology programs for the federal government; FAA program experience preferred.
- Proficiency in SAP (especially SD and CO modules) and MS Excel.
- Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Analysis for Office.
- Strong analytical skills, financial foresight, and a customer-focused approach to supporting internal stakeholders.
- Structured work style with diplomacy and strong communication skills.
- Experience with project financial governance, compliance, or audit environments (e.g., EVMS or similar frameworks) preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust (background investigation required).

The total compensation for this position is $150K-180K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
