The Senior Project Engineer will manage, plan, support, and, where applicable, execute engineering deliverables for site capital projects at one of the company's corn milling facilities.


This role requires an experienced engineering professional capable of managing project activities from initial planning and design through construction, commissioning, and startup.


The successful candidate will apply engineering standards and procedures, estimate project time and costs, oversee construction activities, and develop solutions to complex engineering challenges involving manufacturing equipment, processes, systems, and component failures.


The position also focuses on improving manufacturing processes, instruments, and equipment while maintaining product quality and operational performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field or equivalent experience.
  
  
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering work experience.
  
  
• Construction management experience.
  
  
• Commissioning and startup experience.
  
  
• Experience planning, supporting, or executing engineering projects.
  
  
• Ability to plan, design, estimate project timelines, and evaluate project costs.
  
  
• Experience analyzing and resolving engineering problems involving manufacturing equipment and systems.
  
  
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and engineering systems.
  
  
• Strong problem-solving and technical analysis capabilities.
  
  
• Ability to independently manage complex engineering issues with minimal supervision.
  
  
• Ability to apply engineering standards and procedures.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing individual projects or portfolios of projects valued at $5 million or more.
  
  
• Experience working with SAP.
  
  
• Previous experience in food processing, chemical processing, corn milling, or related manufacturing environments.
  
  
• Experience managing capital projects in industrial manufacturing facilities.
  
  
• Experience overseeing construction, commissioning, and startup of manufacturing equipment and systems.
  
  
• Experience with manufacturing process improvements and equipment reliability initiatives.
