Senior Project Manager

Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to manage and oversee all aspects of assigned projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will identify, understand, and improve business processes and issues across all of Retail Energy segment’s markets. This role will drive market entry, acquisitions, product or service development, and process improvement initiatives. The incumbent will be responsible for defining and documenting business requirements and assisting business owners and technical teams in developing solutions.

In this role, the Project Manager will provide functional subject matter expertise, ensure compliance with SouthStar’s business processes, and oversee testing procedures. The position requires the development of project plans, tracking of milestones, and reporting on project status. Additionally, the Project Manager will provide analytical support for measuring operational improvements and validate customer requirements through user acceptance testing, change request management, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead project planning, scheduling, and budgeting, ensuring efficient resource allocation.

• Define and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Develop and implement risk management strategies to proactively address project challenges.

• Monitor and control project progress, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting to executive management.

• Manage stakeholder communication and expectations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Apply advanced project management methodologies and continuous improvement strategies.

• Mentor and coach project management teams, sharing industry expertise and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects.

• Advanced knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and software.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

• Ability to adapt to dynamic project environments and lead multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong experience managing projects that impact organizational strategies.

Certifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.

• Advanced certifications and specializations are highly preferred.
