Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of new Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) modules and components for the Client

The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience in technology projects within healthcare or state government, with the ability to manage schedules, scope, budgets, implementation plans, and risk mitigation. The candidate will coordinate resources across multiple vendors and state teams throughout planning, implementation, go-live, and certification.

The Senior Project Manager will work closely with vendors, project managers, state teams, management, and other stakeholders to monitor project risks, schedules, and deliverables. The role will also ensure that the end product meets requirements and deliverables for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the new Medicaid Management Information System modules and components from beginning to end, identifying schedule, scope, budget, implementation plan, and risk mitigation.

• Coordinate with all vendors and project managers via a master schedule and project governance to monitor risks, schedule, and deliverables.

• Ensure end product meets requirements and deliverables for the EDW.

• Coordinate resources across multiple vendors and state teams through planning, implementation, go-live, and certification.

• Analyze project progress and adapt when necessary.

• Establish and maintain relationships and provide updates to appropriate audiences as needed.

• Present to department executives and legislative body on project progress.

Required Qualifications

• ·         project management experience in technology projects in healthcare or state government.
• ·         Experience working with Idaho state agencies.
• ·         Experience with change management, organizing training, and communication to ensure a smooth roll-out of new systems and processes.
• ·         Experience with system and data conversion from legacy systems to new systems
• ·         Experience with state Medicaid

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience working with Idaho state agencies — highly desired.

• Experience with state Medicaid agencies — highly desired.

• Experience with system and data conversion from legacy systems to new systems.

• Experience with change management, organizing training, and communication to ensure a smooth roll-out of new systems and processes.
