POSITION TITLE: Senior Project Manager

LOCATION: Baton Rouge, LA
SUMMARY: Looking for a proven Senior Project Manager who combines strong technical and $20M+ capital project experience with leadership, professionalism, subcontractor management, and the ability to effectively represent the company with clients and senior leadership.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead $20M+ industrial capital projects from planning through completion.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and overall execution.
- Direct project teams, field personnel, engineers, and key stakeholders.
- Manage and oversee subcontractors throughout all phases of project execution.
- Serve as a key client contact, maintaining strong relationships and communication.
- Monitor project performance to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals are met.
- Identify project risks and resolve cost, schedule, and execution challenges proactively.
- Coordinate effectively with field operations and corporate leadership.
- Oversee change orders, cost controls, forecasting, and contract compliance.
- Lead project closeout while ensuring client expectations and contractual requirements are successfully met.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of Project Management experience in industrial construction
- Strong $20M+ capital project experience NOT primarily turnarounds
- Experience with power, gas turbines, power plants, energy, oil & gas, or petrochemical
- Proven experience managing large, complex projects, budgets, schedules, teams, and overall project execution
- Experience engaging, managing, and overseeing subcontractors throughout project execution
- Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage key client relationships
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities
- Ideally, long-term tenure and demonstrated career progression with a reputable competing contractor
- Educated, polished, and professional to represent the company well
- Strong industry reputation and professional presence
- Ability to work effectively with both field and corporate leadership
- Proven ability to identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations
