This position provides direction for technical and business resources. Actively participates in long-range strategy planning and manages policy development to address complex business issues, provides leadership to cross-functional teams. Recommends processes and tools to support the work of the team, including but not limited to requirements definition, development standards (code, reports, interfaces, etc); version control, and testing standards. In addition to managing Project Managers, the Senior Management Position includes managing and coaching a team of business system analysts and developers to assign work (project/support), coach on completing the work assignments, and provide development opportunities for them to further grow in their job roles.
Responsibilities include:
Hiring and training project managers to manage assigned projects following a defined project management process
Collaborating with other department leaders through an intake process to define, prioritize, and develop projects
Planning all aspects of project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables
Managing strategic programs and projects and providing oversight to project managers across the organization
Establishing templates and guidelines to for use in all company projects and programs
Establishing and reporting monthly to project portfolio and governance committees on project health, financials, resourcing, and project intake status
