Senior Project Manager / Estimator - Sitework

Our client, an established sitework contractor serving the Twin Cities and surrounding areas, is adding an experienced Senior Project Manager / Estimator to its growing team. You will lead projects from estimating and bidding through completion, focused on underground utilities, earthwork, grading and site development. The right person has 5+ years managing construction projects, a strong feel for field operations, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules and crews.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and bids for underground utilities, earthwork, grading and site development projects
• Review civil plans, specifications and project requirements
• Manage projects from initial bid through final completion
• Develop project budgets, schedules and cost tracking
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, suppliers and general contractors
• Monitor job costs, production rates, quantities and change orders
• Spot potential issues early and keep projects on schedule and on budget
• Oversee material procurement, equipment needs and labor planning
• Build strong relationships with customers and project partners
• Make sure projects finish safely, efficiently and to spec

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing sitework, underground utilities, earthwork or grading projects
• Proven experience in construction estimating and project management
• Strong ability to read civil plans and specifications
• Solid understanding of construction costs, production rates and scheduling
• Experience managing budgets, field operations and subcontractors
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to manage multiple projects independently
• Estimating software and Microsoft Office experience preferred
• Valid driver's license
