Senior Project Manager - Greater Boston

BELMONT Search is a construction executive search firm serving general contractors and construction managers across New England. We are engaged on current and upcoming Senior Project Manager searches with builders across Greater Boston, on commercial, institutional, life science and multifamily projects.

THE OPPORTUNITY

These positions carry a portfolio rather than a project. The Senior Project Manager delivers through the project managers they develop, owns the client relationship at principal level, and is measured on whether that client returns.

THE ROLE

You will direct several projects, or one of significant scale, through the project managers reporting to you, and you will carry the client relationship yourself.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct multiple projects, or a single project at $30M and above
• Lead and develop the project managers and assistants assigned to you
• Own client relationships at principal level, with repeat work as the measure
• Contribute to preconstruction on your own pursuits, including estimating support and buyout strategy
• Maintain cost control and the forecast the executive team plans against
• Participate materially in hiring decisions for your teams

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Ten or more years, several as project manager of record on significant work
• Currently directing other project managers, or demonstrably ready to
• Commercial, institutional, life science or multifamily depth in Greater Boston
• Candidates whose advancement is blocked by an occupied position above them are specifically encouraged to make contact

COMPENSATION

Base salary of $145,000 to $185,000, plus bonus. At this level the project portfolio and the route to Project Executive weigh as heavily as base salary, and both are discussed openly.
