Senior Project Manager

Location: Merrifield, Virginia (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead cross-functional delivery and operational governance efforts across several strategic Marketing Operations initiatives. This includes Enterprise Digital Asset Management (EDA/EDAM), Claravine implementation, taxonomy modernization, and metadata governance. The role involves providing structure, accountability, and execution leadership across business, creative, product, analytics, and technology stakeholders. The ideal candidate is organized, experienced in driving complex initiatives, and comfortable in ambiguous environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of EDAM, Claravine, taxonomy, and metadata governance initiatives.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, timelines, and dependencies.
• Coordinate activities across Marketing, Creative, Digital, Product, Analytics, Enterprise Technology Services, and vendor teams.
• Facilitate working sessions, steering meetings, decision reviews, and stakeholder workshops.
• Establish and maintain a centralized project repository for decisions, assumptions, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Document meeting outcomes and ensure decisions have clear owners and due dates.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive stakeholder map, defining roles, responsibilities, and escalation paths.
• Partner with Creative Services to prioritize requests, define deliverables, and establish deadlines.
• Support the development and adoption of asset naming conventions, metadata standards, and governance processes.
• Develop communication and adoption plans for impacted users.
• Lead execution planning for post-migration improvements, including asset cleanup and repository transitions.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of project or program management experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional business and technology initiatives.
• Facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with governance frameworks, RAID management, and executive reporting.
• Experience documenting business processes, workflows, and operating models.
• Demonstrated ability to drive accountability across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager Assets (AEM/EDA/EDAM).
• Background in Marketing Operations.
• Experience with metadata governance and taxonomy programs.
• Knowledge of digital marketing asset lifecycle management.
• Experience in change management and organizational readiness.

Deliverables

By the end of the engagement, the contractor should deliver a stakeholder map, RACI matrix, governance framework, integrated project plan, and executive status reports. Additional deliverables include a taxonomy decision register, metadata governance documentation, a communications plan, and remediation plans for working file cleanup and virtual library recovery.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means that after six months, key initiatives have clearly documented ownership and governance. Stakeholders will understand their roles, and decisions will be consistently tracked. Creative teams will receive clear requirements, projects will move forward with less ambiguity, and leadership will receive concise status reporting.
