Payrate: $48.00- $50.00/hr.
 
Summary
The Senior Project Manager will play a key role within the Strategic Planning and Operations function, supporting high-priority transformation initiatives focused on improving and simplifying complex cross-functional processes within the Precision Medicine organization. This position partners with business leaders and stakeholders to organize, plan, execute, monitor, and deliver strategic initiatives that drive meaningful business outcomes. The ideal candidate is a proactive, business-focused project management professional with experience leading complex projects in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or consulting environments.
 
Responsibilities
  • Partners with Strategic Planning and Operations leaders and workstream leads to plan, coordinate, execute, monitor, and control project activities while ensuring alignment with project objectives, scope, quality, timelines, and budget expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, decision logs, action trackers, risk logs, issue logs, and status reports to ensure transparency and accountability across workstreams.
  • Facilitate project execution by tracking deliverables, managing timelines, monitoring dependencies, and supporting teams in achieving key milestones.
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings by preparing schedules, agendas, presentations, meeting materials, minutes, action items, and follow-up communications.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, decisions, dependencies, and upcoming milestones to stakeholders through presentations, reports, updates, and executive-ready materials.
  • Work closely with team leaders and functional leaders to document, analyze, and map current-state and future-state Precision Medicine processes.
  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement while helping teams align on solutions and implementation plans.
  • Monitor progress against business objectives and escalate issues, risks, or decisions requiring leadership attention.
  • Follow up with action owners to ensure commitments are completed and momentum is maintained across interconnected workstreams.
  • Support leadership teams by preparing executive-level documentation that summarizes project status, key decisions, risks, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Collaborate effectively with global teams and cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and successful project delivery.
 
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is preferred.
 
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of project management experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or consulting environments supporting these industries.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex workforce strategy, organizational transformation, or research and development-related projects.
  • Experience partnering with executive-level stakeholders and facilitating discussions with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience developing and executing project plans, timelines, deliverables, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience creating project documentation, including project charters, project plans, status reports, action logs, and executive presentations.
  • Experience working in complex and evolving business environments with the ability to navigate ambiguity and changing priorities.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting strategic planning and operational transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with research and development processes within a science-based organization.
  • Experience documenting end-to-end business processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to develop role-based training or curriculum materials using business templates and stakeholder input.
  • Experience collaborating with geographically dispersed and global teams.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects forward in ambiguous environments through initiative, ownership, and sound judgment.
 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $48.00 - $50.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
