    Position Summary

A growing mission critical construction team is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support projects in Oregon.

The Senior Project Manager plays a senior leadership role in delivering complex and strategically significant construction projects. In addition to independently managing large and complex projects, this position leads and develops project managers and project engineers, supports business development efforts, and helps establish standards and best practices for the project management team. Drawing on extensive industry expertise and sound judgment, the Senior Project Manager holds financial responsibility for assigned projects, anticipates and resolves complex challenges, and serves as a senior point of leadership for clients, project teams, and the organization.

This role focuses on one of the fastest-growing areas in construction: data centers and mission critical facilities. Because mission critical facilities require continuous operation, the Senior Project Manager coordinates field activities with facility teams and owners to minimize disruption to live operations and maintains an uptime-first mindset throughout all phases of the project, from assessment through turnover.

Project assignments may vary based on business needs and may require experience with specific facility types, construction environments, and technical disciplines.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Direct the overall management and execution of construction projects.

    • Establish project objectives, goals, schedules, and deadlines.

    • Select appropriate construction methods and project delivery strategies.

    • Schedule and coordinate project activities to ensure work meets design specifications and project requirements.

    • Report project status, progress, and budget matters to clients and project stakeholders.

    • Facilitate the execution of project installation activities.

    • Produce, acquire, organize, and maintain required project documentation.

    • Prepare layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics as required.

    • Evaluate the feasibility and application of systems and equipment and provide recommendations regarding construction products.

    • Plan logistical aspects of project execution to ensure project requirements are properly incorporated into project documents.

    • Assist with the preparation and distribution of equipment and construction bid packages.

    • Promote a safe and efficient project work environment.

    • Verify contractors comply with applicable OSHA requirements and industry safety standards.

    • Coordinate with facility teams and contractors to minimize disruption to ongoing facility operations.

    • Obtain required licenses and permits, coordinate with city and county inspectors, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, building codes, and safety requirements.

    • Assist in developing accurate project budgets that reflect all construction-related costs.

    • Manage project planning, materials, construction activities, and budgets.

    • Negotiate construction work and provide cost estimates for change orders and additional scope.

    • Protect the interests of the client while supporting project profitability and organizational objectives.

    • Support business development efforts by promoting services to existing and prospective clients.

    • Participate in client, company, and industry events.

    • Build and expand professional networks through relationships with clients and industry professionals.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in construction and building systems design.

    • Experience in project management, estimating, field installation, and installation supervision required.

    • OSHA certifications required.

    • Advanced project management skills.

    • Strong technical expertise in primary areas of focus, including mechanical and/or electrical systems, with familiarity across related disciplines.

    • Ability to work collaboratively and recommend and evaluate practical solutions for clients and project stakeholders.

    • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to the facilities and construction environments in which the organization operates.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.

    • Ability to adapt to changing work environments, priorities, and organizational needs.

    • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement, develop new ideas, and recommend innovative solutions.

    • Demonstrated proficiency in all core competencies associated with the role.

    • Experience managing construction projects in data centers, mission critical facilities, or other live operational environments preferred.

    • Experience with data center infrastructure, including critical power, cooling, and controls systems.

    • Experience managing projects for hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center clients preferred.

    • Proficiency with Procore preferred.
