Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing large-scale construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors, and manage all aspects of construction project operations, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead and oversee projects utilizing the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method, ensuring cost control, risk mitigation, and seamless collaboration between owners, designers, and subcontractors from preconstruction through project completion. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Project Planning & Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, including project scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation. Oversee the creation of detailed construction schedules and ensure that the project progresses according to plan.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Prepare and maintain accurate project budgets. Monitor costs and control expenditures to ensure the project remains within financial constraints. Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle. Proactively address issues related to safety, scheduling, compliance, and quality control. Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of unforeseen challenges.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Manage and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and field staff. Foster a collaborative and positive working environment. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Oversee quality assurance and quality control measures, conducting regular site inspections and audits.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, addressing any concerns or changes promptly and professionally.
  • Contract Management: Review and manage prime contracts, subcontracts, and procurement processes. Negotiate terms and conditions with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure favorable project outcomes.
  • Safety Oversight: Ensure the safety of the project site by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings, and promoting a culture of safety at all levels of the project.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, meeting minutes, and progress reports. Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Master's degree or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large, complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, including project planning, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration. Expertise in using project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) and other relevant tools.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination between project stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address issues before they impact project timelines or costs.

  • The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
