Senior Python Developer – Counterparty Credit Risk Technology

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid – 3-4 days onsite/week)
Pay Range: $55–$62/Hr.
Work Authorization: Must work directly for Artech on W2 from Day 1.

About the Role
Seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to build and maintain scalable Python solutions for Sparck, the strategic Counterparty Credit Risk calculation and reporting platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Python applications using OOP principles.

• Build and optimize SQL queries and database integrations.

• Collaborate with Risk, Business, and Technology teams.

• Manage the full SDLC, including testing, deployment, and production support.

• Troubleshoot issues and ensure system performance and reliability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of enterprise software development experience.

• Strong Python, OOP, SQL, and Oracle/Sybase expertise.

• Experience with scalable applications and distributed/high-concurrency systems.

• Full SDLC experience and familiarity with GitHub Copilot.

• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk, or financial services experience.

• Knowledge of risk calculations, derivatives, and pricing.

• Experience with Quartz, big data, distributed processing, or GenAI/LLM technologies.
