Senior Python Risk Developer
Location: Jersey City, New Jersey
Role Overview
An experienced Senior Software Developer is required to join the Counterparty Credit Risk Technology team supporting Sparck, the strategic Counterparty Credit Risk calculation and reporting platform. The role focuses on designing and developing scalable, production-grade Python solutions for risk calculations and analytics. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with Risk Managers, Business Analysts, Middle Office users, and technology teams throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience: 10+ years of enterprise software development experience, preferably within Financial Services.
Technical Skills: Strong hands-on Python development and Object-Oriented design/programming experience, robust SQL skills (Oracle and/or Sybase), and experience with distributed, high-concurrency systems and AI-assisted development tools.
