Senior Quality Engineer

Job Description:

• Be first line of contact for quality issues with the CEM and components suppliers for both laser diode and Optical products manufactured at Fabrinet
• Implement appropriate preventive measures such as control plans and Quality monitoring are in place to ensure there are no significant quality spills with key customers in Asia
• Monitor and participate in New Product Development projects including performing quality evaluations
• Utilize internal SCAR system to ensure the CEM is driving to root cause analysis and implementing effecting corrective actions
• Monitor quality levels of manufactured products and take appropriate action when necessary to ensure a high level of quality
• Identify and initiate actions that will result in continuous improvement of the Quality System, products and processes
• Support Production personnel by resolving process and material related quality problems
• Work with material suppliers and the MACOM purchasing department to ensure consistent material quality
• Perform audits of the CEM and other suppliers as required
• Support cost reduction and process improvement projects through the use of various Six Sigma and Quality tools such as FMEA, process capability, Gage R&R, SPC, pareto analysis and other tools
• Travel may also be required to CEM's in Malaysia
