POSITION OVERVIEW
As a
Senior Quality Engineer, your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Lead cross-functional teams in resolving customer and production quality issues.
- Support manufacturing operations through problem solving and process improvement.
- Maintain ISO 9001 and Quality Management System requirements.
- Identify plant and department-level quality gaps and execute improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate customer return analysis and corrective actions.
- Partner with Design Engineering and Supply Chain to establish quality requirements for new products.
- Lead PFMEA and risk assessment activities.
- Support new product development and product launch quality milestones.
- Execute and facilitate APQP and PPAP activities for suppliers and customers.
- Maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, and other quality documentation.
- Analyze scrap, warranty, internal defects, and customer complaints.
- Develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Support quality audits, compliance activities, and continuous improvement.
- Assist manufacturing and engineering teams in resolving electrical design and production issues.
- Support operations according to a collaborative 24/7 team schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate
Senior Quality Engineer who enjoys their work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal
Senior Quality Engineer would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; Engineering degree preferred.
- 2+ years of Quality or Manufacturing experience.
- 2+ years of Quality Management System and internal audit experience.
- Strong QMS documentation and quality compliance experience.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
- Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, 8D, A3, Pareto analysis, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with electrical testing procedures and protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience supporting Engineered-to-Order manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Experience supporting new product introductions and manufacturing process improvements.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future company sponsorship.
