Description
This role supports the Credit Union’s capital planning and stress testing program by helping develop, maintain, and apply quantitative models, analytical tools, and scenario-based forecasting processes. It assists in translating business strategy, risk appetite, portfolio behavior, and macroeconomic assumptions into model-ready inputs and decision-useful outputs that support capital adequacy assessment, governance, regulatory reporting, and management action planning. The role also contributes to Finance and Capital Planning special projects, including ad hoc analysis, strategic initiatives, process enhancements, management reporting, and cross-functional efforts that improve financial insight, capital adequacy monitoring, and decision support.

What You’ll Do :

· Implements and refines quantitative models and analytical tools that support portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk measurement, and strategic decision‑making.
· Provides input to strategic modeling and decision-making processes with respect to data assumptions, historical data analysis, conceptual soundness, and evaluation of models’ outputs for appropriateness.
· Translates risk appetite and policy requirements into practical metrics, thresholds, and monitoring routines that guide business actions and maintain exposures within established boundaries.
· Coordinate agreement on the use of models and assumptions across stakeholders where multiple stakeholders use common models and assumptions.
· Conducts scenario analysis, sensitivities, and stress testing to identify vulnerabilities under various market, credit, and operational conditions, providing clear recommendations for mitigation.
· Maintains efficient reporting processes and data pipelines that enable timely, accurate, and transparent risk insights for partners across the organization.
· Monitors market trends, portfolio dynamics, and operational indicators to identify emerging risks and communicate timely assessments to key stakeholders.
· Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to embed quantitative insights into business decisions, considering trade‑offs and impacts across multiple functions.
· Produces clear and audit‑ready documentation for models, assumptions, processes, and governance requirements, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational standards.
· Reviews analytical work from colleagues and provides coaching to enhance methodological rigor, communication clarity, and consistency across the team.

Education & Experience:
· Required Education:Bachelors degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
· Required Experience:4 - 6 years of relevant experience
Qualifications & Skills:
· Experience developing, implementing, or validating risk models or analytical frameworks in data‑intensive environments.
· Strong proficiency with Python or R, SQL, and analytical libraries used for statistical modeling, time‑series analysis, and data processing.
· Demonstrated ability to perform scenario design, stress testing, and model performance evaluation using sound statistical and financial principles.
· Experience building automated reports and visualizations and working with large datasets in both structured and unstructured environments.
· Proven ability to independently solve complex problems, adapt methods to ambiguous situations, and balance competing priorities.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to distill technical analyses into clear insights for non‑technical audiences and influence stakeholders across functions.

$95,000 - $125,000
