The following position will be based anywhere in the U.S. for candidates willing to travel to the Stanford School of Medicine campus 5%-10% of the time, as needed.
The Department of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University is seeking an experienced Research Administrator 3 to manage a large, high-volume, and complex portfolio of non-federal and federal sponsored research. This role supports a diverse set of principal investigators and multi-disciplinary teams across multi-PI, multi-site, and cross-institutional projects, including significant federal funding activity.
The Research Administrator 3 will independently lead the full lifecycle of pre-award and select post-award activities for complex proposals and awards, serving as a primary advisor to faculty and a subject matter expert on sponsored research administration. This position requires a high level of autonomy, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex sponsor requirements, institutional policies, and competing priorities across a large submission portfolio while working with a highly collaborative team.

This role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate. The expected pay range for this position is $121,639 to $142,078 per annum (within 10 Bay Area counties) or $72,983 to $127,870 per annum (all other regions).
